Flood Protection Authority – East Prepares for Tropical Depression Nine

New Orleans, LA – In preparation for a potential storm entering the Gulf of Mexico, leadership at the Flood Protection Authority – East (FPA) is closing several gates within the flood protection system. A total of 21 gates will be closed today, August 26th. Today’s closures will not impact roads, railways, or businesses. FPA-East Offers Virtual Tours of the Flood Defense System
